Dartmoor is approved by the Washington State Office of Public Instruction (OSPI) as a Non-Public Agency (NPA). Our NPA services provide special education to students who have been placed with us by their school district to satisfy the goals of their IEPs.

As an NPA we provide:

  • One-to-one customized instruction specific to student needs in grades 1-12

  • Curriculum aligned with state and district standards and graduation requirements

  • Open enrollment throughout the year, including Extended School Year (ESY)

  • Full-time and part-time placements

  • Active supervision by our Special Education Coordinator

  • Knowledgeable staff

  • Behavioral and social/emotional supports

  • Executive functioning support

  • Coordination of services with district and other agencies involved in the student’s education

  • Quarterly reports on progress toward IEP goals and graduation credits

  • Monthly attendance reports

  • Participation in IEP development

  • Administration of state standardized testing
